The Mother of Exiles...
...Goes to Washington, DC to Join The Counter-Attack!

It is with mixed emotions that I write today.
On one hand, I am filled with urgency, resolve, and excitement. I will be immediately relocating to Washington, D.C. to work alongside Refuse Fascism, 50501DC, DC Against Trump, and others in organizing and promoting the mass mobilization and sustained, nonviolent occupation of the Nation’s Capital beginning November 5 — an occupation that will continue until the fascist regime of Donald J. Trump falls.
This is a profound step, and one I believe necessary. I invite you, for as long or as short as you are able, to join the mobilization and stand on the front lines of history beginning November 5. More information can be found at refusefascism.org.
On the other hand, I must acknowledge the cost of this commitment. While in D.C., I will not be able to continue publishing Robin Liberté’s Visual Resistance Chronicle, weekly photomontages, or the Artist’s Insights that have accompanied them — nor The Mother of Exiles’ Communiques. That work has required full-time devotion these past five months, and though it has been profoundly therapeutic, rewarding, and sustaining, I must now direct all energy toward the Counter-Attack’s best opportunity to depose the dictator Trump.
The only exception may be an occasional Communiqué from the front lines, as conditions and time allow.
This is not an end to my art — only a pause. A humble recognition that resistance requires more than art; it requires action. The Visual Resistance Chronicle, the photomontages, and The Mother of Exiles Communiqués will return. I promise you that. So please, do not unsubscribe.
Until then, I will stand with hundreds of thousands of others in D.C., refusing to bow to fascism and helping to build the sustained resistance this moment demands — until the Trump regime falls.
